Originally from Germany, I have been technology-savvy for as long as I can remember. In 2003, two friends and I founded a startup. We successfully developed and marketed HS-CMS, a content management system written in PHP and focused on user experience. It was then that I gained a thorough understanding of web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and network mechanics, which gave me a head start when enterprise platforms shifted to web-based user interfaces (Fiori) and began using HTTP-based integration protocols (SOAP, OData).
After working in web development for 8 years, I started my SAP career in 2011 and, due to my can-do attitude, have always worked cross-module: SAP ERP SD, MM, CO, FI, SAP CRM, SAP C4C, SAP Cloud Platform (now BTP) and Integration. Lately, I've been mostly occupied with S/4HANA (PM and SD areas), C4C, and their integration via BTP. In parallel, I've been diving deeply into RAP/CDS and the side-by-side/clean-core philosophy, which aligns fully with my core mindset to use the standard where possible and enhance it only when necessary. With that approach, I've been able to lift customer processes into S/4HANA (almost) effortlessly, with most of my time spent understanding the standard rather than reinventing it, ensuring smooth go-lives.
I'm also an avid Debian Linux user (I still run Windows inside a virtual machine, but only for legacy applications) and, being a lazy admin, absolutely love the command line because it just saves so much time and provides far more control when compared to navigating UIs, especially since AI makes writing bash scripts a breeze these days.
My customers like that they can approach me with any requirement or issue because I always find a solution for them. Often that gives me the chance to learn something new, which is a benefit to everyone: me, the customer, and future projects.
